Dr. Shapiro began
collecting Dental Antiques after receiving a graduation gift
of several old Dental books. Since then he has amassed several
hundred items which are on display in his office.
The collection primarily spans from the
early 1800's to the early 1900's, and contains a foot powered
dental drill, books, chairs, instruments, pictures, ads,
lights, signs, sterilizers, business cards, cabinets, charts,
diplomas, x-ray, electrical panel, lab equipment, traveling
Dentist kits, dental office equipment, toothbrushes, a large
collection of toothpastes and mouthwashes, artificial teeth,
dental quackery items, dental statuettes, supplies,
etc.
